Ignite your Inner Compass

Sacred Vally of the Inca – Cusco – Peru

April 26th 2020 – May 3rd 2020

Invite Sacredness into Your Flow

Inspired to assist in creating a personal practice that is empowering, expressive, supportive of self development, and contributes towards a lifestyle on one’s own terms, Moving Into Rhythm invites you to join this space and partake in a journey that ventures from the inside out.

Honouring one’s own unique rhythm, a series of movement flow sessions and workshops will be offered to facilitate in beginning, expanding upon and growing in your personal daily practice. Whether you already have a movement practice, or would like the opportunity to explore and experience a deeper connection with yourself, this space provides the platform.

The retreat consists of a morning and afternoon movement session, supported with yoga, meditation, discourses and workshops on energy perception and personal introspection, hikes in the mountains and visits to ancient Inca sites. There will be opportunities to witness and take part in traditional Andean ceremonies where you can learn more about their culture and ancestral roots.

Three nourishing meals, made with love, will be provided each day, with a selection of herbal teas, fresh juices, smoothies, fruits and snacks. Meals will be vegetarian/vegan in support of dietary requirements for any work being considered with Master Plants.

A Closer Look

Part of one’s journey turning inward is readiness of opening the heart to listen and observe with attentional awareness to voice, sound, silence, sensations, emotions, feelings, mental thoughts. With intentions of heart opening to receive, share and celebrate our gifts, the retreat has been designed with introductions to holistic practices and workshops that support authentic expression of one’s true nature. In order to become aware of the more subtle and complex layers of ourselves, complementary and supportive practices and tools will be shared. The combination of movement based sessions, discourse and workshops encompass the considerations of tapping into an exploration from the inside out and reigniting our inner compass.

All activities are offered in support of enhancing one’s relationship from internal to external landscapes. Although group sessions are arranged for most activities, there will be opportunities for smaller, one to one and personal time to reflect, journal, share and receive.

Each movement session engages the body, mind and spirit, to come together and explore, embrace and revel in our own unique rhythm. Various movement modalities from an array of disciplines will be explored in these sessions. Both the body and the mind will be stimulated and challenged through the integration of skills and movement patterns that can be tied together into an infinite possibility of flows and phrases. Your balance, proprioception, and coordination will be tested and refined with group games, and individual physical progressions. Breath is the primary mover of all bodies and all life, and thus these sessions emphasize mindfulness to breathe and frequent check-ins and reminders to attune to the vital pranic force of your breath. The aim and truest intention of these sessions are to facilitate the awakening of your inner child through a mindset of curiosity and adopting the eyes of possibility and exploration.

Gentle and restorative yoga sessions with flavours of world dance warm ups bringing one into the body with rhythmic, intensive movement, balancing with complementary yin based breathing and stretching. The aim of these sessions is to invigorate the soul, soothe the mind and rejuvenate the body, whilst letting go of inhibitions and judgement, allowing authenticity to shine.

The workshops consist of demonstrations with invitation to participate extended in a sound vibration flow. A gong bath works on multiple layers energetically, conducted in a meditative safe space tuning into inner landscapes and once attuned, exploring movement and flow. Discourses in energy perception and introspection allow for reflection and consideration of subtle body energy and receptivity for a deeper awareness of inner authority and building a relationship with the inner self.

Cacao is a sacred fruit used in ceremonial practice in ancient civilisations; Mayan, Olmec and Aztec, continuing today in South America. Cacao stimulates the release of neurotransmitters, bringing balance and enhanced focus, awareness, uplift in mood and increased blood flow. A food for the soul, in a ceremonial setting, Cacao aids to clear emotional blockages, connecting directly with our heart intelligence to receive insight, healing and clarity in all aspects of ourselves and lives. In support of working on subtle energy layers, tuning into one’s own rhythm, the retreat offers the opportunity to connect with Cacao and experience the heart opening gifts and ancient wisdom this sacred fruit shares, deepening the authentic relationship within oneself.

Retreat Facilitators

Each of our facilitators offer support and guidance throughout the retreat, with a focus on integration; how to form, carve and commit to a practice that honours and nourishes the mind, body and spirit. Our facilitators are dedicated guides choosing a life of service that are here to learn, grow in, witness and share their process through supporting others.

Our Stunning Location

The Sacred Valley in Peru is a stunning and powerfully energetic environment in considering a unique setting for the retreat. Surrounded by mountains, rivers, lakes, tall pine and eucalyptus trees, the essence and magic of mother nature is one of awe. We have several ideal retreat locations that we use around the sacred valley in Peru. During the initial diagnostic stages we will scope from the preferences of our participants and then confirm based upon the dynamics of the retreat group. All of the places that we choose have comfortable accommodations and fully equipped group facilities, and suitable spaces to deliver the content of our retreats.

Our accommodation for this retreat is in a family lodge in the heart of the Sacred Valley, laid out in a rambling hobbit-style labryinth of beautiful gardens and intimate spaces, overlooked by the epic mountains of Pitu Siray & Sawa Siray.

During the retreat, we aim to take you to the most inspiring sights within the Sacred Valley which are often overlooked due to the renown of Machu Picchu. These are Inca and pre-Inca sites which are situated in stunning locations with wide views of the valley, naturalistically energetic and where we can share a little of the history and legends that give the valley its divine name.

Dietary Requirements

Food plays its part during energy & spiritual work and we will do our best to explain objectively why people adapt their diets during conscientious spiritual practices. We aim to provide delicious, nutrient dense and abundant foods to support your activities during the retreat.

All the meals provided during your retreat are sourced locally from organic and ethically minded sources. We know the local markets and interact with the vendors, taking our time to learn about their practices and choose the correct ingredients for conscientious eating.

Our lovingly prepared meals focus on the inclusion of superfoods grown in the Cusco region such as Maca, Quinoa, Kiwicha, Tarwi, Cacao, and Kaniwa as well as locally grown organic fruit and vegetables. Our morning smoothies provide sustenance, nutritional boosts of essential amino acids and slow releasing energy. In addition to full and balanced lunches and dinners, there will also be many snacks on hand should you feel peckish such as fruits, nuts and seeds as we love to graze!
